I am one of the costume people for my school's Hairspray show, and today I single-handledly brought in at least 20 items of my own clothing for costumes. However, this happened to be the day when no-one else doing costumes was there. So I was stuck with a whole heap of clothes and nothing constructive to do with them. The drama teacher was just like "I don't know, stick them in a corner" so I did, and then spent the rest of the time listing props that we need and making paper aeroplanes!
So some of the props are a sofa, a bed, two mirrors on wheels and a hot-dog stand! Where the hell are we going to get these from? It's not as if we even have a room where props are kept; they're just piled up in the Performing Arts office. And we have six more weeks in which to get these and the costumes sorted out. That's only six more evenings. Aaaarghhh!!! Ok, so I don't really have a reason to freak out, I'm not in charge of anything. You should see the drama teacher's face, it is permanently etched with worry lines at the moment. Anyway, that was just my personal rant, so now it's over and done with.
